Obatala
He is the creator of the Earth and owner of all heads. He was given his job by Olodumare, the creator. The story goes that Olodumare sent Obatala to Earth with nothing but dirt and a chicken. With this he was to create the Earth and all on it. He did so, putting the chicken on the pile of dirt and the chicken scratched, forming the shape. Obatala was told to create humans, adding the final touch through putting on the heads. This where he took his name as, "Owner of all Heads".
He is said to have saved humans from destruction. Once there was a party with all the Orisha. Yemaya was not invited to this meeting and she was furious when she found out about it. She whipped the oceans of the world and flooded everything. Obatala intervened and she, from respect to him, retreated.

Demanding proper respect from his children, there is no swearing when in his presence. He does not like alcohol and prohibits his children from drinking it. He dresses in white and his Eleke (beaded necklace) is also white.
