Oshun
Oshun is the youngest of all the Orishas created. She symbolizes sweetness and love, which was the meaning of her creation. She is the Orisha of love and sensual power, the feminine ideal. She rules over the rivers of the Earth and is sister of Yemaya. Ogun was one day pursuing Oshun across the fields, she soon fell into the river and was dragged by the whirlpools. Yemaya then took Oshun under her protection and gave her the rivers, causing a close relationship between the two of them. She is seen as the most beautiful of all the Orisha and is lively, sparking, and refreshing.
Oshun has the appearance of a cheery, careless young maiden. She can be demanding and fearful when crossed.
