Chango is he who owns fire, lightening, and thunder. He represents male beauty and virility, passion and great power. His colors are red and white, making his beads alternating red and white beads. His number is six and his day of the week is Friday and the 4th of every month. He is Santa Barbara in Catholicism and he wears red and white, with a sword and wearing a crown. The feast day of Chango is December 4 and is a very important festival in Cuba. Chango is said to have wore woman's clothes which he borrowed from Oya to escape persecutors.
